Detailed description (English): The "Bicibús urbà" is a bike tour that will be carried out by students from 6 schools, with the aim of finding out about the actions of safe school routes that have been implemented, throughout the year, in these schools, as well as evaluating the mobility conditions of our city.
On the occasion of the celebration of World Car-Free Day, the Ontinyent City Council organises a bike ride on Friday, September 20, in the morning, with the 5th grade students from the educational centers of Ontinyent. In this activity, which we call Bicibús, we will take a bike ride with the students from the primary schools through the streets of Ontinyent. There will be two different routes, with two starting points. As the route progresses, students from the participating educational centers will join in. The two routes will end in Plaza Coronación, where we will enjoy a well-deserved breakfast, accompanied by music, to gather strength for the final joint route and return.
After breakfast, a route will be carried out with the 11 participating centers through several streets of the city.
The activity will serve as an initiative to promote sustainable mobility, encouraging participants to use the bicycle as a means of transport that transforms towards a healthier city, positively impacting the environment and people.
