Detailed description (English): In the framework of the European Mobility Week 2024 (EMW), which will be held from 16 to 22 September under the motto ‘Neutral in Motion (NiM) reinforces its commitment to the defence of inclusive and sustainable mobility that promotes the use of all types of transport and modes of use.
Commitment to responsible and efficient mobility. Thanks to strong investment in Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&I), vehicles are now much more efficient, safer, connected and automated. This strong commitment to technology by the sector is facilitating an increasingly inclusive mobility and contributes to the reduction of emissions. What is needed is for technological advances to reach our roads, which is why Neutral in Motion promotes the importance of rejuvenating the car fleet, which is currently over 14 years old on average. It must be taken into account that a vehicle over 20 years old pollutes as much as five new vehicles.
Motor vehicles have a key role to play in sustainable mobility, and their evolution towards cleaner and more efficient technologies is already a reality. Neutral in Motion continues to support the promotion of hybrid, electric and low-emission vehicles, as well as incentive policies so that more and more people can opt for them.

Detailed description (original language): Madrid, 12 de septiembre de 2024.- En el marco de la Semana Europea de la Movilidad 2024 (SEM), que se celebra del 16 al 22 de septiembre bajo el lema "¡Combina y muévete!", Neutral in Motion (NiM) refuerza su compromiso con la defensa de una movilidad sostenible inclusiva que promueva la utilización de todo tipo de transporte y modalidades de uso.
El compromiso con una movilidad responsable y eficiente. Gracias a la fuerte inversión en Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación (I+D+i), los vehículos son en la actualidad mucho más eficientes, seguros, conectados y automatizados. Esa gran apuesta por la tecnología que realiza el sector facilita una movilidad cada vez más inclusiva y contribuye a la reducción de emisiones. Lo que hace falta es que los avances tecnológicos lleguen a nuestras carreteras, de ahí que promovamos desde Neutral in Motion la importancia de rejuvenecer el parque automovilístico que actualmente supera los 14 años de edad de media.
