Detailed description (English): During the European Mobility Week, En Bici Sense Edat will participate and organise a variety of activities to raise awareness of sustainable mobility and social inclusion. We will host a free screening of the documentary Cycling Without Age at Pati Llimona in Barcelona, providing an opportunity for the public to learn more about the movement. In Vilanova i la Geltrú, the newest chapter of En Bici Sense Edat Catalonia will hold a pilot ride and training session for volunteers. In Reus, we will give a public talk and live demonstration of the activity, while in Badalona and Sant Joan Despí, residents will also be able to experience rides and learn about our mission and vision. These initiatives aim to strengthen the visibility of our work across different cities, foster intergenerational connections, and promote our rides as an inclusive and sustainable mode of transport.
Target group(s): Elderly people, volunteers, local communities, families, and citizens interested in sustainable mobility and social inclusion.
Objectives: Promote sustainable urban mobility through cycling. Enhance social inclusion by connecting elderly people with their communities. Raise public awareness of Cycling Without Age’s mission and activities. Encourage volunteer engagement and the creation of new local chapters.
