Detailed description (English): Park(ing) Day Barcelona is an annual event coordinated by Espai Ambiental Cooperativa and ISGLOBAL with the support of Barcelona City Council and EIT Urban Mobility.
It is a performative, awareness-raising and vindictive action, where various entities, collectives and citizens in general, temporarily transform public car parking spaces into parks, gardens and other forms of public space, with the 'objective of claiming a city model centered on people and the environment. It takes place in various cities around the world.
Target group(s): Citizens, children, elderly people, pedestrians, cyclists
Objectives: Transform parking spots into urban spaces for citizens to reclaim the streets.
