Detailed description (English): ConBici, through its Health and Environment Area, proposes once again to carry out the joint action of measuring air pollution ‘Al Cole sin Humos’. This initiative is supported by the methodology developed within the framework of the citizen science project Cycling with Clean Air
ConBici is committed to protecting children's health by creating safe and healthy school environments. That is why we have chosen again to collaborate with the local volunteer groups, schools and AMPAS of their cities to make visible the importance of promoting an active, healthy and sustainable mobility.
The action will be developed simultaneously in several Spanish cities with the involvement of volunteer groups participating in the citizen science project Cycling with Clean Air and educational communities interested in joining the action. The local volunteers will support the schools and ConBici will support volunteers by offering them the technical support to measure air pollution while traveling to school, training activities and for the communication of the action. This year, ConBici will also provide groups with materials to carry out awareness-raising activities in schools.
It is proposed to measure air pollution around schools on 2 consecutive days at the same time coinciding with the time of school entry. These days will be representative of a day with traffic and a day without traffic: Sunday 21/09/25 vs Monday 22/09/25
The awareness-raising actions will take place before, during, or after the Mobility Week, with dissemination efforts to ensure maximum participation.
