Detailed description (English): One of the major threats to Covid is vitamin D deficiency.
Respiratory infections have been shown to be much more common due to low levels of vitamin D, which has also been proven in people with Covid.
Another threat is obesity.
The likelihood of hospitalization has been shown to increase with a higher body mass index (BMI) even when other conditions that put obese at greater risk are subtracted.
A person is considered obese if their body mass index is greater than 30. Extreme obesity, BMI greater than 40, especially increases the likelihood of developing the most severe forms of Covid.
Chronic inflammation often comes with obesity and reduces the body's defences, which in the case of Covid, that can attack the lungs and because of adipose tissue in obese people, can limit the lungs' ability to expand and breathe.
How and where in the time of the Covid pandemic to promote healthy living habits through exercise, crucial for strong immunity?
Working as a specialist physiatrics and rheumatologist for over 30 years with thousands of clients from 87 countries, I have proven that movement - properly programmed exercise, in special microclimatic conditions with clean air, is key to balancing body and mind health, disease defence and work efficiency.
The Crikvenica Riviera has been recognized as a health Riviera for 130 years due to its microclimate very suitable for general health and treatment of diseases.
2600 hours of sunshine a year provides sufficient doses of vitamin D for health throughout the year.
The Health Zone Road, a project started within EU Mobility Week 2007 initiated by prim. V. Brozičević, from Crikvenica to Selce and back is a great place to start a lifestyle change, especially for people who spend more than 6 hours sitting at work.
On this same day prim. Vlasta Brozicevic with her guests scientists from Austria and US also celebrated 183rd birthday of prof. Johannes Frischauf who discovered Crikvenica Riviera as a health resort in 1891 published the 1st Guide in German.
To make it an international celebration 3 scientist joined.
One of them, prof. Veronika Hofer, from University of Vienna explained more about the benefits of the clean air, clean sea and clean and fresh drinking water.

Objectives: Emphasize the importance of movement but also stay at resorts with clean air and other climate benefits for health, stronger immune system and better work performance.
Expected Outcomes: Rising awareness in persons sitting more than 6 hours a day to change it and invest some time into personal health, habits change, particular due to the threats of Covid.
